CRAFT
For actors tired of winging it.
4 Weeks · In-Person · $350 Enrollment includes 1:1 Consultation

You know what it feels like to get in your head.
To work so hard at "getting it right" that the scene stops being about anything real. To send off auditions feeling like the choices were fine - but hollow.
That's not a talent problem. That's a craft problem. And craft is teachable.
CRAFT is four weeks of practical technique. You'll learn a repeatable process to making honest, playable choices that make the job givers happy and still feel like you. Not some result you're pushing for. Not some character you just invented. You, in the moment, every time.
WHAT YOU'LL LEAVE WITH
CRAFT isn't theory. These are the same techniques Brian and the coaches use in their own auditions - right now, actively, as working actors - and share with every actor at the studio.
You'll learn how to break down material and make choices that are playable, not just logical. You'll learn Brian's Magic Sentences, his favorite tool for unlocking a scene. You'll learn how to use your objectives, obstacles, and other craft tools practically instead of putting you in your head. You'll learn how to build a visceral internal life you can listen through, plus tips on how to rehearse, memorize, and prepare like a pro.
By the end of four weeks, you'll have a simple, repeatable process you trust so you stop winging your auditions and start booking them. If ongoing class is the gym, CRAFT is where you learn how to lift.
WHERE NEW CLIENTS BEGIN
CRAFT is the starting point for every new client. It pairs Brian's Process with the studio's "Craft Meets Career" approach. CRAFT builds a shared foundation so your work, both auditions and classwork, takes the next leap.
If any of these sound familiar, you're ready:
-
You've been acting for awhile but feel like you're running on instinct and hoping for the best.
-
Your work is inconsistent but you don't know why.
-
You send off your audition tapes feeling like something was missing
-
You long for a repeatable process you can trust
Not sure if you're ready? We can figure it out together. Schedule your Consultation with $50 deposit and if it's not the right fit, we'll refund your deposit after the session.

BRIAN NORRIS has been a working actor for over 25 years. He is recognized for recurring roles on The Cleaning Lady (Fox), Perry Mason (HBO), Halt and Catch Fire (AMC), Reprisal (Hulu), and General Hospital (ABC). He is also the lead of The Doppelgänger, an indie feature currently on the festival circuit, and recently guest starred on The Pitt, Walker, The Rookie: Feds, New Amsterdam, and many more.
He has been teaching and coaching actors for over 10 years, and has run The Norris Studio for four of them. His approach in the classroom comes directly from his own working process — the same techniques he uses preparing for his own auditions and navigating his own career. CRAFT exists because Brian wanted a class he would have wanted to take.

TIFFANY COMMONS is a working actor with nearly 10 years of credits including Abbott Elementary (ABC), Doctor Odyssey (ABC), The Beauty, Modern Family (ABC), The Big Bang Theory (CBS), and This Is Us (NBC). She also brings a background in improv, sketch, and stand-up comedy that makes her instincts in the room genuinely sharp.
From Brian:
"Tiffany's the best. There's a reason she works all the time on all the best shows! I could go on and on about her talent, mastery of genre, and great vibes. But I can also say that Tiffany is my 1st call for my own auditions."
"Brian has managed to simplify years of acting education into 16 fun, active, enlightening hours. CRAFT will absolutely elevate your game."
