THE SCRIPT IS A STARTING POINT, NOT FINISH LINE
Here's the thing most actors get wrong about commercial auditions: they think the job is to deliver the specs and copy perfectly.
But that's not the job.
Commercial copy is rewritten constantly. It evolves in the room. It gets discovered based on who they cast. What casting is actually looking for is you - specific, present, and playful - working with the copy, not just delivering it. Knowing when to riff and when to back off, from your first run through the callback.

The technique, the room, the unspoken rules, the specific language of the commercial world. You'll get real answers to questions most actors are afraid to ask: when do I improv and when don't I? What actually makes casting reach for the callback list? What does a button look like and why does it matter?
You'll hear Kira's stories — from the audition room, from the set, from the casting sessions she's run herself. The kind of inside knowledge that can only come from someone actively working in this space.
And in your final session you'll work with a working commercial Casting Director who will share advice and tell you exactly what they see from the other side of the table.

KIRA COOK is a working actor who has spent over 15 years in Los Angeles building one of the most consistent commercial careers in the business. She books six to twelve spots a year — recent clients include Geico, Salesforce, JiffyLube, SlingTV, and Golden Corral. She has also worked as a session director, which means she knows the commercial audition process from both sides of the camera: the actor side and the room where decisions actually get made.
Kira brings credits in scripted television too — Netflix, Nickelodeon, and AppleTV+ — along with a deep background in improv, sketch, and stand-up that makes her instincts in the room fast, specific, and genuinely fun to be around.
